Literally every time Paige and I go in the car she says "No....santa....knee....deer" or a combination of a few of these words. I have come to the conclusion that it isn't that she is really obsessing over it, but rather it has become a habit to talk about Santa in the car, kind of like it has become a habit to ask for a snack in the car. We're going to a Christmas party at the rec center on December 15 and Santa will be there....uh oh!
-------
At our play group this morning we were about to sing the sleeping bunny song in which the kids lie on the floor and pretend to be sleeping bunnies. Well, as I go to help Paige lie on the floor, she was obviously quite aware of what to do and had already started to lie down on her own. In the process as I was "helping" her I helped to bonk her head against the gym floor and cause her to cry for a few minutes. I can just see what it looked like from the outside....me slamnming my child's head against the floor "BE A SLEEPING BUNNY!!". Kind of like when Paige is walking around in the rec center and I gently touch her back to show her which direction to walk and she happens to fall at that exact moment so I look like I pushed her to the ground. OH mommy...

Ohhhhhhh Carol Ann, I laughed till I cried!!!! You are experiencing all the silly, oops stuff about being a mom!!!!
Love Gramma Val
Papa and I sure laughed. You are such a good "story teller"...not that I mean they are not true. I can see it all playing out as though it were a video. I do think it is cute though that she already has the sleeping bunny figured out and can do it herself. I'm also sure you are right about the habit's they get into in the car. Suggest next time Paige talks about Santa, that he brings gifts. Perhaps that will give her new ideas. I would also not push the Christmas Party Santa, unless she wants to go up to see him. Such fun. I wish I were there to experience all of it. Love Gramama
