This weekend was great but there was a scary storm on Friday night. The weather was better the rest of the time, but the bugs were out of control causing us to stay inside most of the time. Apparently it wasn't as bad on the dock, but I didn't want to take the chance that Paige could get eaten alive. She managed to have one chunk taken out of her ear by a black fly, but that was it. Luckily we have a screened in porch so you can still get the warm breeze and feel like you're outside, but not have to worry about the bugs. The ones that did make it inside when the door was opened met their fate with "the executioner"

Here you can see them on the screen trying to get in.
We left around 1:00 on sunday, but it still made for a nice father's day as the 2 dads got to do a bit of fishing.
We took Paige for a spin in the boat with her little life jacket on. She was NOT happy! I don't have the picture of that yet, I'll post it later. I love this picture of her in the old fashioned bathtub.

What wonderful memories Paige will have of summers at the cottage. I just love her "cheeky" little stance in the picture where she is standing in front of Michael with her book. At least I think it was Michael. What a little doll. Those mosquitoes scare the heck out of me. We have them here in Show Low, but not many and not often. We have an executioner too. Love Gramama
Jeepers those bugs are big!!!!! A few of those together could carry my little Paigey away...shei s darling in that big Tub!!! Love Gramma Val
